I’m not going to lie: this is a cloud gaming moment I’ve been waiting on for a very long time.

It is 2023 (well, almost 2024) and all the major operating systems have built-in ‘Focus Mode” to help you avoid digital distractions and get stuff done. In a future release Chrome OS also introduce a built-in focus mode.

The update is available now for some users, with a full rollout expected over the “coming days/weeks.

Google LLC has released an emergency security update for its Chrome browser following the discovery of a critical vulnerability that could open the door to attacks. The vulnerability – tracked as CVE-2023-6345, is described as an integer overflow in Skia in Google Chrome before version 119.0.6045.

Shared VPCs adhere to the principle of least privilege, where only the centralized network and security teams have permissions to create and manage the networking infrastructure in the host project. Developers, on the other hand, only have permissions to deploy compute, storage, and other resources in the service projects.

With the issues we’ve seen in the past couple ChromeOS updates – 118 and 119 – there’s been a general messiness with the entire process that saw ChromeOS 119 pulled down from the updates server for a couple weeks.

ChromeOS updates have been a bit of a rollercoaster over the past few months. While 117 arrived with Material You in a pretty straightforward fashion, ChromeOS 118 and 119 have been anything but smooth sailing.

The ChromeOS 119 release is now available, a week after the update was removed. That’s good but the lack of communication on this? There’s room for improvement.
