Weekly Issue: 2024-08

Hi everyone! We’ve just released Chrome Stable 122 (122.0.6261.62) for iOS; it’ll become available on App Store in the next few hours.This release includes stability and performance improvements. You can see a full list of the changes in the Git log.

Back in the latter parts of 2023, I was under the impression that we might see Chromebook Plus models on sale all the time. Right after launch, we saw deal after deal on most models and it really felt like these new devices were built to be on sale.

This morning, it looks like most of the deals on Chromebooks that were happening last week and through the weekend finally ended.

Many of you who have been following along for a while now know that I am a hybrid OS user, meaning I use a Chromebook for most of my daily work but I also have a Macbook Pro that I use for all of our video editing.

I’m not entirely sure when this new feature actually arrived in ChromeOS, but I’m so, so glad it is finally here.

Spoiler alert: our review of this particular Chromebook Plus is on the way very, very soon, and if you’ve been around Chrome Unboxed for any amount of time, you already know the verdict on this one.
