Chrome Experiment warns some extensions can slow down & see browsing activity
This may be a coincidence or intentional after row over Google removing some malicious Chrome extensions, there is now an ‘Extensions Checkup’ experiment in Chrome stable, which when enabled, warns users that some extensions can affect users’ privacy and Chrome performance.

Google releases ‘Link to Text Fragment’ Chrome Extension
Google has released Scroll to Text fragment extension for Chrome on Chrome Web Store and is now available for download. Recently Google integrated Scroll to Text Fragment feature into Chrome browser (available in new Microsoft Edge also).

Firefox to allow users to disable sending of search terms to ISPs, Chrome has no fix for now.
Firefox and Chrome browsers have a privacy flaw where the user typed search terms are sent to DNS servers of ISPs, even when Private browsing mode or Privacy-focused search engine DuckDuckGo is used or DNS over HTTPS (DoH) is enabled.
