Google named a Leader in the Cybersecurity Incident Response Services Forrester Wave, Q2 2024

Today, we’re pleased to share that Google was named a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Cybersecurity Incident Response Services Report, Q2 2024. Forrester identified 14 top vendors in the cybersecurity incident response services space, assessing them on their current offerings, strategy, and market presence. Mandiant, part of Google Cloud, received the highest possible score in 17 of the overall 25 pre-defined criteria areas, including but not limited to incident preparation, recovery, ecosystem collaboration, innovation, and supporting services and offerings.

“A Google-boosted Mandiant maintains comprehensive, innovative end-to-end IR services…the combined forces are fueling innovation that allows the firm to support more clients more efficiently through automation, orchestration, and AI,” according to The Forrester Wave™: Cybersecurity Incident Response Services, Q2 2024 report.

Additionally, the report referred to our current business state as “Mandiant 3.0” and highlighted that Mandiant “continues to assist organizations and governments of all sizes and geographies in uncovering and ejecting sophisticated nation state attackers and opportunistic criminals alike, while helping security leaders effectively communicate with boards and executives throughout the IR lifecycle,” said Forrester.

The Wave report grouped its evaluation criterion into three high-level categories:

  • Current offerings: Google, with Mandiant experts who design and deliver these consulting services, scored the highest possible score (5 out of 5) in incident preparation, incident simulation, incident response, recovery, ecosystem collaboration, legal and regulatory compliance support, post-incident reporting and support, threat intelligence, cloud environments, OT/ICS environments, IR talent management, and contribution to the cybersecurity industry.

  • Strategy: Google scored 5 out of 5 in this category for innovation, supporting services and offerings, and talent strategy.

  • Market presence: Google also scored the highest possible rating for both criteria in this category of revenue and number of customers.
