The web browser has become the heart of how we work. And while AI gives new opportunities to change how work is done, cyber threats and insider risks continue to evolve and make it harder than ever for companies to protect corporate data. The browser remains a prime spot to introduce helpful and secure AI, and we’re continuing to harden the protections for employees as they do more work on the web.
At Google Cloud Next this week, we’ll be sharing several updates across our Chrome Enterprise portfolio of offerings, helping IT and security teams get the control and visibility they need, providing new levels of security and threat intelligence, and bringing added productivity benefits to their employees.
Bringing AI-powered enterprise search to Chrome with Google Agentspace
As enterprises invest in AI to speed up business workflows, help employees create and iterate on content faster, and improve backend processes, the browser offers an easy and intuitive platform for helping people optimize the way they work. Chrome Enterprise provides a secure entry point into AI tools and workflows, where IT and security teams can stay in control of how AI technologies are used, which type of data is allowed in those services, and more.
Google’s multimodal search capabilities in Agentspace helps customers to find what they need, regardless of how – and where – it’s stored. Whether the right information resides in common work apps like Google Workspace, third-party apps like Microsoft 365, Jira, Salesforce or ServiceNow, or in content from the web, Agentspace breaks down silos and understands organizational context, turning disjointed content into actionable knowledge and productivity improvements.
At Cloud Next, we announced the integration of Agentspace and Chrome Enterprise, which allow employees to leverage Agentspace’s unified search capabilities right in Chrome. Bringing Agentspace directly into Chrome will help employees easily and securely find information, including data and resources, right within their existing workflows. Hundreds of millions of business users are already working from Chrome, and by bringing the power of Agentspace right into Chrome, employees can keep their existing workflows, and get secure, powerful, and easy access to the contextual suggestions, internal documents and external sites that they need to get their work done quickly.

More Advanced and Secure Enterprise Browsing
While AI brings new opportunities, enterprises need to know it’s underpinned by protections that keep corporate data safe. Chrome Enterprise continues to play a critical role in endpoint security, as the browser is where employees spend most of their working day and are exposed to a myriad of potential threats. Chrome Enterprise Premium delivers our most advanced security capabilities to further reduce risk and prevent data loss.
Enterprises continue to benefit from the simple and effective data protections directly in Chrome. In addition to existing powerful watermarking and screenshot blocking, copy, paste, upload/download and print controls, Chrome Enterprise Premium now supports data masking. Data masking empowers security teams to identify sensitive data that it wants to redact (or require users to request), helping prevent data leaks.
We’re also extending key enterprise browsing protections to mobile platforms, starting with Android, including copy and paste controls, URL filtering and context aware access to SaaS apps. While these capabilities have been helping secure Chrome on desktops, this new level of protections coming to Android extends secure enterprise browsing to knowledge workers on-the-go or workers using personal Android smartphones or tablets for work.
The Google Threat Intelligence Advantage
Backed by the power of Google’s security at scale, Chrome Enterprise offers organizations a unique opportunity to benefit from powerful intelligence between the browser and other threat intelligence tools.
New Employee Phishing Protections in Chrome Enterprise Premium help enterprises better protect their employees against lookalike sites or portals attempting to capture credentials, using the power and scale of Google Safe Browsing. Companies can now configure and add their own branding and corporate assets to the Safe Browsing Web Risk tool to help identify and protect unsuspecting employees from sophisticated phishing attempts disguised on internal domains. This phishing detection is underpinned by the same valuable, AI-powered security that protects 5 billion devices around the world every day.
As part of the newly announced Google Unified Security solution, browser telemetry and asset context from Chrome Enterprise integrates into Google Security Operations to power threat detections and remediation actions. Enterprises can access enriched security telemetry, including new advanced Safe Browsing context and detailed logs for user activities like navigation and file transfers, all enhanced with Google Threat Intelligence. This enables improved security outcomes through curated dashboards for better visibility into risks, detections for threats like malicious extensions and data exfiltration, and streamlined remediation playbooks directly within SecOps.
Simplified Controls for Seamless Management
Additionally, IT teams can benefit from improvements to Chrome Enterprise Core. Chrome Enterprise Core already offers an easy way to set and enforce policies across browsers in an organization, including controls for AI capabilities, browser versions, and more. A new overview page offers a simple, single view for reporting and visibility. It also suggests key action items for admins, so they can take quick action and stay up to date on the latest new capabilities available to them.

Chrome Enterprise also continues to invest in extension management experience for enterprises. On the heels of the new Enterprise Web Store launching earlier this year, a new discovery page for the enterprise web store allows for easier categorization and wayfinding of enterprise extensions. Additional customizations and configurations will be made available later this year.

Supporting an Ecosystem of Solutions
We know that enterprise environments are complex, and in many cases organizations need the flexibility to use a variety of solutions in their environment. Chrome is committed to helping enterprises benefit from seamless interoperability, and we continue to support a full ecosystem of technologoes. To help enterprises with their secure access needs, Chrome Enterprise is also launching a new Universal Enrollment Connector for identity providers to integrate Chrome signals to support access controls across corporate resources. Organizations can also use a new Universal OIDC Connector to offer a seamless enrollment into managed Chrome profiles, so employees can get easy and secure access to the right apps and data based on permissions. This new connector supports customers using Entra IDs in their environments. This work is in addition to existing integrations with Okta, Ping and Cisco Duo.
Secure enterprise browsing can also be combined with other security ecosystem technologies. New Chrome Enterprise integrations with the Cisco Secure Access (SSE) solution and the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange platform are are available to enable zero trust private access.
Additionally, Chrome Enterprise and Crowdstrike continue to expand integrations by offering joint customers reporting integration of security events from Chrome directly into Crowdstrike’s SIEM technology, offering valuable added data to support security monitoring and incident investigation.
Chrome Enterprise now supports single sign-on for Chrome profiles on MacOS, making it easier to apply protections to employees using Macs. These new integrations allow enterprises using a variety of operating systems and identity providers to benefit from our recent improvements to the Chrome profile user experience and reporting, offering a simple and secure solution for BYOD or unmanaged device environments.
With these collaborations, Chrome Enterprise continues to support customers across a wide range of solutions and platforms, helping them bring a secure and productive experience to their employees across different environments.
