For obvious reasons, Gmail has become my primary email service holding the keys to almost every platform I want to access. My devotion to the service isn’t misplaced since Gmail has become one of the most widely used email services around, handling the email affairs of over a billion users.
Enterprise G-Suite users tend to get most of the juicier features but Google makes using the standard Gmail in itself productive enough for the most work environments. However, things can get a bit congested when you are a project head, and figured you’d forward mails to a team member (possibly a new teammate) but find yourself forwarding one mail after another.
Not only is this process time consuming, but it can also be quite obnoxious for the recipient who will have to contend with having the inbox bombarded with several emails.
To mitigate this issue, Google is rolling out an update that would email senders attach emails to emails. This opens up the possibility of grouping several emails of the same topic within a single bundle, allowing users to add a summary with the option to have sent to several recipients.
There are two methods to go about adding email as attachments to emails and the first one only requires dragging and dropping them into the draft window.
The other method does require additional steps but it is simple nonetheless. To insert emails in a new thread, select the emails and then from the overflow (three-dot) menu, select “Forward as attachment” and emails you’ve selected will automatically be inserted allowing you send it as an attachment.
The update is being rolled out gradually, so not everyone will be able to see the option to attach emails to emails immediately.
